Way back in October a group of designers were randomly selected receive a free bead or beads from a huge stash very kindly gifted to the lovely Lesley Watt by the super talented glass artist Kaz Baildon.
I was lucky enough to be selected. I would not know which beads I would receive. I was asked to make something with them and then post on my blog. How exciting!!!
These are the beads I received.....
I decided to team them with some of my own simple lampwork spacers, a few Swarovski crystals, and some chain, and this is what I created!
Apologies for the poor quality photos, being a bit last minute I had no natural daylight!!!
Thank you very much Lesley for hosting such a lovely hop! Now I'm going to relax with a glass of wine and see what the other designers came up with...

Love your design! so colorful and cheery but simple to keep the focus on your beautiful bead
ReplyDeleteI love how your lampwork beads totally matched that bead! And the bright silver chain is such a great compliment to it. Great job!
ReplyDeletevery beautiful necklace!!! This was my first blog hop also
ReplyDeleteWonderful! That frog just gave me a total flashback, I worked in a gift store that carried that line back in the day and I remember one of those frogs getting smashed! He was beyond repair and putting his bits in the trash I felt bad... lol yeah, like those old ikea commercials. ANYWAYS very pretty job bringing the glass together. I always love seeing handmade jewelry made of many sets of hands.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful: fun and cheerful! Your frog is the cutest prop ever :)
ReplyDeleteI have to "ditto" what Alicia just said! No apologies needed for the photos. That 2nd one is a real winner!
ReplyDeleteI love what you did with the bead you were given too! While I like the looks of it, I'm not sure I would have known what to do with that bead. You obviously did! Wonderful job!
Beautiful necklace and love the frog!!!
