The Gossiping Goddess/Kaz Baildon Blog Hop

Welcome to my very first blog hop!!!!!

Way back in October a group of designers were randomly selected receive a free bead or beads from a huge stash very kindly gifted to the lovely Lesley Watt by the super talented glass artist Kaz Baildon.
I was lucky enough to be selected. I would not know which beads I would receive. I was asked to make something with them and then post on my blog. How exciting!!!

These are the beads I received.....

I decided to team them with some of my own simple lampwork spacers, a few Swarovski crystals, and some chain, and this is what I created!

Apologies for the poor quality photos, being a bit last minute I had no natural daylight!!!

Thank you very much Lesley for hosting such a lovely hop! Now I'm going to relax with a glass of wine and see what the other designers came up with...

I've been feeling all festive at the torch this week!
Check out the cutest teeniest rudolph murrini and Christmas tree murrini (all the way from Lorri and Kim in USA) that I used on these glass lampwork tiles.

And a Christmas tree pendant...

And a few others I created....

All in all, a good day at the torch!

Blog Competition

Blog Competition alert!!!!
So many lovely people have supported my lampworking journey over the last few months, by buying beads from me (from www.purplecobwebs.co.uk), so I thought it was time to offer up a little competition to my customers. If you're not yet a customer, there is still time LOL!
To enter, just email a picture of something that you have made with my beads, to mail@purplecobwebs.co.uk by 30th June 2012. I will then upload my 10 favourites onto my blog and ask for comments. The one with the most comments by 31st July 2012 will win a set of lampwork beads in a colour of their choice from me.
Here are some of my recent lampies.

Viva's Incredible Veggie Roadshow in Cambridge 4th Feb 2012

Purple Cobwebs is so excited to be having a stand at the Incredible Veggie Roadshow in Cambridge tomorrow!!!!#

http://www.viva.org.uk/vegetarian-vegan-roadshow/cambridge.html

I'll be taking lots of jewellery, including lots of sparkly Shamballa bracelets, keyrings, mirrors, charms, badges etc! I've even made some cheeky vegan sausage badges especially for the occasion!!!!

I've had to take the Shamballa bracelets off the website for a couple of days as they are all packed up ready for the show, but as I've been making lots of new ones recently, I'm sure there will be plenty left to go back onsite on Sunday!!!
